It's high time we identify what is happening in the Southern Cameroons for what it is...The Southern Cameroons, which has her own internationally defined borders, is an occupied territory. All the agitation surrounding what is euphemistically called the “anglophone problem” is as a result of this relationship between a colonized people - to Mr. Fondong, “anglophones”, to me, Southern Cameroonians - and the colonizer - to Mr. Fondong “francophones”, to me, the Camerounese. Wherever we stand, we mostly have imbibed the sizeable body of scientific literature on colonialism which holds that the colonizer always uses natives of Mr. Fondong’s caliber to maintain their rule over fellow natives.
Expecting reason and logic from colonizers and their apologists is going against the scientific method. Dr. Frantz Fanon, M.D., wrote that “colonialism is not a thinking machine, nor a body endowed with reasoning faculties. It is violence in its natural state, and it will only yield when confronted with greater violence.”
Therefore, for as long as the occupation forces of La Republique du Cameroun have held Southern Cameroonians in captive on their own territory, Southern Cameroonian citizens have earned the right of starting a greater violence to challenge la République du Cameroun’s colonial occupation of the Southern Cameroons (Fanon's "A Dying Colonialism").
It is silly and dishonest to argue that colonized people do not display some of the behavior ascribed to Southern Cameroonians in Mr. Fondong's piece. However, it is the most “successful” amongst the colonized natives who exhibit almost caricaturist attributes of the colonial master. And when it comes to abuse and insult, they particularly target fellow natives because those are the only people they have any sort of power or authority over.
The bureaucrat who extracted a bribe from Mr. Fondong is one such “successful” native. He's in a position to extract bribes! Mr. Fondong is another “successful” native. He got into l’Ecole Nationale d’Administration et de Magistrature (ENAM) - an outfit known for having institutionalized bribery as a means to gain entry. Mind you, ENAM forms the crop of Cameroun’s administrative bourgeoisie, in their local outposts, the Civil Administrators often boast of being the personal representative of the Head of State! The deplorable state of République du Cameroun and the Southern Cameroons speaks to the unproductive and destructive management of the products of ENAM and who they represent.
Historically, ENAM (and EMIA) is where the French colonizer trained natives to conduct what a French army officer, Max Bradet - who served in post-independence Cameroun - called “a veritable genocide”. It was done with such brutal efficiency that the severing and displaying of the heads of their fellow natives became part of the political and administrative showmanship. The ENAMistes, as Civil Administrative officers, are responsible for this macabre spectacle in their official duty of “pacifying” the uppity natives.
Of course, the colonial curriculum established by the French colonialist at ENAM was never to serve the interest of the natives in the periphery, but that of the métropole. Reading Mr. Fondong, a former Civil Administrative officer in Cameroon, one can be sure that the essence of ENAM’s curriculum has remained unchanged.
The French ENAM is where Mr. Fondong was trained to continue that brutal legacy. His insults and attempts to undermine Southern Cameroonians fighting for justice and against brutal colonial occupation are expected. His instinct and worldview seem to be very French ENAMiste.
Naturally, a product of French ENAM will question why a revolutionary political party (as it then was) will target the French and the products of that colonial zoo called ENAM where Civil Administrative officers are let loose to loot and dehumanize their fellow Africans with impunity.
The Social Democratic Front (SDF), for all her shortcomings, was ahead of the times. Since the SDF's political targeting of the French, which Mr. Fondong highlighted and questioned in his first piece here, Africans seeking to better their lot and move away from French neo-colonial exploitation and de-humanization have revolted against the French with some success (and at a very high cost) in various countries: Rwanda, Cote d'Ivoire, Gabon, Chad etc. The animosity and revolts against la Grande France will only intensify as they insist on maintaining the neo-colonial ENAMiste mindset to pilfer the continent.
France, for her part, seems resolved to ride the morbid advantages of a historical inertia the 1960s’ fake independence bestowed to her by “former” colonial possessions. France stands with the unproductive native administrative bourgeoisie class that they trained at places like ENAM, against the majority of the people in their African colonies. It is therefore no coincidence that during the February 2008 riots in Cameroun, French business interests were particularly targeted by the people of Cameroun. It also expected that part of the unproductive administrative elite, under the tribal grouping of so-called “Mfoundi Elites” invoke the specter of ethnic cleansing in their reaction to the February 2008 riots.
The Southern Cameroons want out of this mess. With the recent ruling of the African Commission of Human and Peoples Right (ACHPR) on Communication 266/2003, those “moribund organisations” have exposed la République du Cameroun’s empty vanity for what it is. For la République du Cameroun, it will be death by a thousand cuts in the Southern Cameroons.

What in Mr. Fondongs piece make you so annoyed? I think any rational thinking Cameroonian would agree with most of what he is saying. I agree with you that ENAM trains the most corrupt of Cameroonian but that was not the point of his write up.He was talking of too much self righteousness. You are just thesame kind of people he is talking about in that piece. Those English speaking Cameroonians who do not want to see a brother do anything netter than they can. Yoou are a petty, shallow , hollow, narrow minded bigot who has nothing good to say to thers and nothing good to say about others. No wonder you could not even let anyone know your inconsequencial little self.

Have we lost the ability to debate without insulting each other? I find the arguments here very childish and out of touch. Let's grow up.

francoshneks never showered, stank abominably and were always loud and ill mannered. Ailing Difoko always tries to twist the story around. Is this your job now? Trolling Southern Cameroonian's blogs with lies fed to you by the Cameroun colonial authorities?
You are using the same no shower techniques to take over our children's schools and to take away our country. Southern Cameroonians should arm themselves with disinfectants and clean water.
